We have separated them but I believe its now too late and eagerly await the birth of are kits!! Me and the girls have been very busy preparing the nest box and making sure mum has everything she needs and Lucy has been studying up on how to look after the kits once there born.

The farm cats has also give birth to 5 cute little troublesome kittens. Were also very excited about are incubator arriving, we are going to try and hatch some chickens. We have ordered 6 random hen eggs. I know one of them is a silky but we don't know the rest so can not wait for the surprise.

The garden is more alive than ever now. The raised beds are looking amazing and bursting with fruit and veg!! Tom has worked hard to get the garden in a nice state for summer and now just when we thought we could sit back and enjoy summer we are busting with babies!!! ( we wouldn't have it another way)

Spring in Yorkshire..........

First blog.. I am writing this blog to share with all you wonderful people about my life in Yorkshire. I live in Leeds West Yorkshire, I have a loving partner Tom and our 2 wonderful girls Lucy who is 8 and Evie who is 5. We have a cat called Smoky and 2 rabbits Chester and Buster. I work for the family business in Castleford. We run a local haulage company and I am working towards my business studies with law honours degree. Although we live such busy and hectic lifestyles we always make time for family and we are working towards a healthy and sustainable future. I feel it is important that girls learn from such an early age the importance of the mother nature and how we can help to manage and control what we take out of the planet.

Well spring has sprung and I can not wait for the first foals of the year to be born. My father has a farm with some horses which he breeds. We spend plenty of time at the farm and help to look after the ever growing animal population. We have hens, cats, dogs, horses and plenty of wildlife around the place. Unfortunately for my mother she can not grow her own veg as the cheeky rabbits take a good bite out of everything.

We have now just sorted out all are raised beds ready to grow our salad and vegetables. Our herb garden has survived the winter and is now looking very healthy. The tomatoes are looking fabulous and ready to place in the mini green house. The strawberries are looking strong and healthy and I can not wait to get started with the strawberry jam.

To add to ever increasing work loads we are also re decorating our home. We started with Evie's room and we are working on a one room at a time basis. Evie's room is almost finished now just need a few finishing touches. We have purchased a tin of blackboard chalk paint but im not quite sure what I plan to do with this just yet. Any suggestions?

As you can see we are a busy family and have lots of exciting activities on the go. I hope you will enjoy my blog and please visit often for latest updates and photo's.
